Emergency Assistance
When some event or emergency has caused a loss of income and put your life in crisis, we can help with one-time rent and mortgage payments, utility and telephone bills, and other emergency needs for neighbors who live within our area boundaries in Bluffton and parts of Hardeeville and Ridgeland. Call our 24/7 help line (866-324-6135) to request assistance. If you meet the criteria, two volunteers will visit you to assess your situation. Proof of need must be provided, and, if approved, payments will be made directly to the vendor, not to the client, in a timely manner.
Scholarship
St. Gregory the Great Conference awards educational scholarships to qualified local individuals with financial hardships seeking an associate, technical, or undergraduate degree at any technical college or university located in Beaufort County to better their lives or the lives of their family. The scholarship awards up to $1,500 per academic semester and is paid directly to the institution towards tuition, fees, books, and supplies. The final awarded amount is determined based on program and financial needs. The scholarship also awards up to $500 for equipment and is available for the duration of the program.
